The Inward Man(ning)

My name is Jeff which in the Greek means nothing but in German means “God’s Peace” or “Divine Peace” from the original name Gottfried so you can call me Gottfried the Divine which is ironically redundant.  I like run on sentences. And fragments. In truth my parents claimed Isaiah 54:13 when I was born: “All your children shall be taught by the Lord, and great shall be the peace of your children.” Shalom.

My sense of humor is sharp but as dry as a Xerophobiac in a desert.  Too soon?

I am the son of two & the younger of three, which makes me last in line. The last will be first, right?

I come from the land of Hospitality, Possum Town, New Hope, sweet tea (tā) and unused S’s.

I hold a B.S. degree from a state institution that is believed to be named after the original tribe meaning “Here We Rest…Our Heads on National Championship Trophies” (“…” & italics mine)

The seminary I attend is temporarily holding my Masters of Divinity.  I was thinking about continuing towards a Ph.D but I think I would rather be called Master.

I am musically eclectic (Insert Sister Act II quote)

I enjoy watching my squadron beat the opponent soundly in a friendly skirmish.

Wrote this blog I. (Greek-English transliteration of “I wrote this blog”)

In joy, enjoy
